Jessica Yaquinto is a cultural anthropologist, podcaster, and longtime advocate for Indigenous-led heritage preservation. She brings nearly two decades of experience in applied anthropology to her role as host of Heritage Voices on the Archaeology Podcast Network—a show dedicated to elevating Indigenous perspectives in archaeology, anthropology, and cultural resource management.

Jessica has worked with over 55 Native American tribes across the U.S. Southwest and Great Basin, as well as Hispanic communities in Latin America and Europe. Her work focuses on tribal consultation, ethnographic research, and federal compliance (including NHPA, NAGPRA, and NEPA), and she meets the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Cultural Anthropology. She holds an M.A. in Applied Socio-Cultural Anthropology from Northern Arizona University and a B.A. in Anthropology and Spanish from the University of Arizona.

In addition to her podcast and consulting work with LHA, Jessica co-founded the nonprofit Heritage Lands Collective, which supports Indigenous communities in protecting and managing their cultural landscapes. She’s also a certified Wilderness First Responder and passionate about ethical, community-centered fieldwork.

Through Heritage Voices, Jessica creates space for Indigenous voices to lead the conversation—shaping the future of archaeology and heritage work, one episode at a time.
