Today we talk to Canadian Archaeologist, Tommy Ng. Also Stephen Wagner's boss, Tommy has been a long-time CRM archaeologist and has worked in both the United States and Canada. We'll talk to Tommy about the differences between Canadian and US CRM: from laws to actually doing archaeology, there are a lot of similarities and differences alike. We spend this episode talking about the recent case from Washington State where three university professors were charged with several counts related to allegedly taking artifacts from several sites without proper permits. The outcome of this case could change the way the Forest Service writes and enforces ARPA permits for all archaeologists. We'll be watching this one closely.
